Coming from forged Nike's the modification was obviously a little harsh but once I obtained the sensation down these are as near as you can get to forged, feel wise, without playing a TaylorMade R9 TP Irons. The consistency is unrivaled. 9 iron goes 155 after i hit it dead within the sweet spot and yes it goes 150 if it's off the toe. This is the beauty of the irons. Workability was great at the same time, draw, hook, cut, slice whatever you needed the club did. One problem with this was distance. My nike CCI 9 iron would be a 145 - 150 yard club these R9's were no less than a complete club longer to ensure that took getting used to. Very thin topline for confidence and hardly any vibration even on slight mis-hits. I really could also control ball flight pretty much using these and so they gave the ball an incredible penetrating ball flight. Even on some of the windiest days I did not need to go considerably more then the club up at most.
